Meet the ladies behind the sweet ideas
Hello, I’m Lisa!
I am lucky enough to be a Speech-Language Pathologist in the school district I attended as a child! Working with children is my calling and the school system and a pediatric clinic has allowed me to do just that for more than 28 years. I feel so blessed to have a career that I love to go to every day and to make a difference in the lives of children.
I am a graduate of Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Science and completed my master’s degree in Communication Disorders at Governor’s State University. I especially enjoy supervising Graduate Students in Speech/Language Pathology as well as mentoring CF-SLP’s.
I live in a suburb of Chicago with my husband and two children. We are a pet loving family and you can often find all of us at our family farm up in Michigan floating on a raft, fishing or enjoying a bonfire.
Creating materials with Candy Apple speech brings together two things I love most; speech therapy and crafting/scrapbooking! Beyond lucky to be on this Candy Apple Speech journey with such a creative, talented therapist like Nicole!!!
Hi, I’m Nicole!
I am the owner of a private practice speech therapy company and work there as a Speech- Language Pathologist. I truly feel blessed to be able to work with children ages birth-21 doing something that I love. I am thankful for the children and families I get to serve and enhance the lives of every single day.
I obtained my Bachelor and Master Degrees in Communication Disorders and Sciences from Eastern Illinois University and would like to thank EIU for the amazing experiences they provided me with.
I live in Michigan with my husband. In my free time, I love spending time with my family, crafting, getting together with friends, taking walks with my husband and watching the sun set over Lake Michigan.
I have always had a creative, art-based mind, and prior to becoming a SLP I was interested in graphic design. I love being able to put my creativity to good use within my therapy sessions and everyday life outside of work. Candy Apple Speech has allowed for my creative thinking to be stretched to a new limit and I am grateful that I get to share in Candy Apple speech with someone as brilliant as Lisa!
